I, Tommy Fergerson, started the business in January of 2000 named Computer/Handyman. Not only did I work on computers and printers but I was skilled in welding, plumbing, electrical, construction, fixing automobiles, and general handyman repairs.

            My wife, Sandy, a Pueblo native, and I are also both Certified Nursing Assistants. While I was working as a C.N.A. at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, I met many patients and staff who where having problems with their computers and printers. I also met many students and faculty, while taking courses at P.C.C. on my way to becoming an R.N. who had the same concerns and situations. Not only at their businesses but at home as well. They inspired me to open a store in town for more ease of access for them.

            The need was there! We looked around for a good location and found no computer repair stores on the south side of town. In May of 2002 my wife and I opened our computer and printer office at 2022 S. Pueblo Blvd to take care of small business and home users. Only fitting it was in a doctor’s office. We changed our name to Computer Doctor of Pueblo and began to focus on the computer and printer clientele.

            We once again changed our name, hopefully for the last time, to Techno-Doctor, LLC. So we would not be confused with another company with a similar name. Our QuickBooks specialist, Pam VanMeter came up with the name. Customers stated they liked the new name Techno (technology), since we work not only on computers but printers, faxes, copiers, scanners, networks, digital cameras, and even Juke boxes. Keep the doctor for it also means to fix or repair things, and keeps with our slogan.
